This is a good summary on how Egypt dehumanized Jews and then forced them out. Similar things happened in 6 other Arab countries and Iran after WWII.

Jews had to choose between leaving or dying. Recent estimates are that those countries seized over 250 billion in Jewish assets.
This is why so many Jews value Israel and recognize its importance as a place where Jews can go. This was an ethnic cleansing of Jews AFTER the Holocaust. It barely gets recognized.
This is also why those who call for the elimination of Israel are calling for the elimination of Jews. The pattern in those countries was the same we saw in Nazi Germany, only this time Jews knew to flee before the genocide.

We know what happens when Jews have nowhere to go.
Ethnically cleansing Jews has been the world's most popular hobby for several centuries. It has happened again and again without much concern from others.

The part that really bothers some people about Israel is that the Jews won't just consent to letting it continue anymore.
