I was going through this magnificent ⁦@Doranimated⁩ piece, looking to grab the best stuff. Pretty soon, it became clear that I’d be highlighting the whole article. Read and pay attention. mosaicmagazine.com/essay/2019/01/…
The key point (among many) is this: at a time when American public opinion is decided against US military interventions, we have no choice but to actually support our allies in their conflicts with our enemies. Anything less is a kind of strategic malpractice.
It would represent the opposite of what Obama did—in order to get a deal, Obama empowered the Iranians at the expense of our regional allies, tying their hands against Iranian adventurism in the region. We need to allow Israel and KSA to take the gloves off if they need to.
Trump has been remarkably successful with this, and yes it represents coherent strategic thinking.

As we’ve been saying, the attacks on MBS and Saudi Arabia from the media, Dems and some dumb Republicans undermine US interests in exchange for a hearty virtue signal.
NOTE: some corpulent Renfield from a new, embarrassing website attacked me as a “troll” for making essentially these points over the last 3 months. I’ve yet to see anyone from his orbit make a coherent argument about the subject.
