Maybe it's just me BUT WHEN I WAS THAT AGE I fucking well voted in every single election I could because I felt it was MY ACTUAL RESPONSIBILITY AND OBLIGATION AS A CITIZEN to do so and also IT'S NOT THAT HARD to get up to speed on what's on the fucking ballot KIDS

So, while I've been on tour, I've had a couple of people apologize about getting my books from the library rather than purchasing them. Let's have a quick thread about books and sales and libraries, shall we?
One, obviously I'm happy when you buy my books for yourself. Thank you if you do! BUT if your budget doesn't allow that, getting the book from the library is the next best thing, from my point of view.
And why is that? Well, because the library buys my book! If enough libraries purchase the book because the interest from the patrons is there, that's a nice, reliable base of sales for any writer. They also buy extra copies because of demand, and to replace old books.

1. So, I've seen some cretinous dumbasses speculating that I am/should be the next to be punished or fired for my Twitter presence. I find that unlikely and I will tell you why in the following thread.
2. Most immediately relevantly, I don't work in media tie-in or otherwise do work-for-hire generally, so I'm not "fireable" in that regard. All of my fiction work todate is original (save Fuzzy Nation, which was adapted from a public domain work).
3. With regard to book contracts, the contractual language is such that they are severable by mutual consent -- I can't be "fired" unilaterally.

The first issue for me have been: I did not know my camera well and what it can do.
Almost any camera can do at least a nice astro landscape.
With the right settings, you could even capture the milky way with a high-end smartphone.

Then you could walk into ihub or Nailab with only an idea, you didn't have to pay for a hot desk, it resulted in companies like Wezatele, sematime, eneza, etc.

Not to mention, you found a ready willing mentor.

Every other weekend there was a Hackathon.

Hackathons help your idea grow & get validated, learn to pitch, meet other engineers, get feedback & if lucky you get some $ for OPEX.

Then some smart-a** KOTs attacked Hackathons & funders (NGO’s) got shy & stopped funding them
So corporate's stepped-in to fund that gap that NGOs left, but as usual they had self interest as businesses.

1. To protect their downside, they didn't want a 20 yr old Uni-kid surprising them & disrupting their entire business.

2. Acquire new young customers i.e banking etc

In the midst of the tests and various medical consultations, it occurred to me that my life had stopped. My symptoms limited my movements and where I could go. So, I couldn't plan and I couldn't project forward.
Things like traveling or dating went out of the window. I was stuck on finding a solution to my health challenge. My tests are still ongoing. I'm still seeing doctors, but we think we now know what's wrong. And so, I am hopeful.
