The interesting part: ~15 yrs back when MunichRE started looking into "Cyber" insurances, I read an interview with some CxO, asked about cascading failures: "so far, the systems are still all so different and applications so diverse that 'collapsing bridges' don't happen."
Back then that was true and well-funded, from a risk expert.
Now, what changed?
People said: "Treat it like cattle not pets".

The cascading failures are the very reason why there's laws for cattle farms and you can't run one without inspections.
