1/5 Hurrah hurrah hurrah, thrice hurrah. In my #ace2018 speech I called on @DHSCgovuk, @NHSEngland @NHSImprovement to "bring all the relevant players into a single space to develop new solutions [to current NHS workforce problems] at pace". Great to see new Workforce group set up 
2/5 Great to see @didoharding bring pace and energy to leadership of Workforce Implementation Plan work - group up and running within 10 days of long term plan being published. We now need similar pace and purpose in the actual work that needs to be done....
3/5 Great decision to ask @julianhartley1 to take executive leadership responsibility for producing a workforce implementation plan. Vital we get this right and couldn't think of anyone better to lead. Great to start discussing what's needed with him face to face last night......
4/5 Delighted to be asked to join the steering group overseeing the production of the NHS workforce implementation plan. Vital that the trust sector is fully engaged in this important work and I have already offered @NHSProviders and my full support to make this happen.....
5/5 Have already flagged to @didoharding and @julianhartley1 that two key issues the new workforce implementation plan will need to address are: a. A pacy short term set of intiaitives to start addressing workforce shortages immediately, alongside right long term direction.....
6/5 Have argued that Workforce implementation plan will also need to work out how to enable, support and facilitate trust sector to take more responsibility for addressing workforce shortages rather than have to wait for centre...Big behaviour, resource and approach shift needed!
7/5(!) Important to also acknowledge role played by @MattHancock in driving this whole NHS workforce agenda forward. He made workforce one of his key priorities and is now ensuring that NHS is doing what's needed to address service's biggest current challenge.
