I just watched the debate on youtube and to be honest, asides Kingsley Moghalu who made some points even though he was more focused on making derogatory remarks. The others were "motivational" speakers with no clear cut solution to governance. Governance is not magic..

Nigeria has a tax to GDP ratio of 6%, oil at $45 - $50 benchmark..
How will anyone of them fund the various imaginary ideas?
I will do this, I will do that..
You earn a salary of 200k monthly and you are toasting another man's girlfriend, promising her all the goodies..

Without addressing your revenue potential, you are either a fraud or a joker.

How will all these issues be resolved with the resources we have at hand? Some of the debaters don't even know the revenue generating capacity of the FG and how much is ceded to states and LG.

Let it be known that the FG under this government has broken so many records in revenue generation through proper systems and accountability.

It costs an average of $245m to build a 150mw solar power plant. Somebody proposed building 4500MW. Lol 2.6trn, a quarter of the entire FG budget for just one solar plant? How?

He doesn't even know how expensive solar plants are.

Anyone can mount a podium and dish out ideas. The basic questions are - financing, implementation, sustainability.

Will Fela Durotoye take more loans? How will he pay back? The same set of people who complained that Buhari was borrowing a lot on infrastructure despite the obvious deficit we have.

All targeted at infrastructure..rail, roads,power, airports. The projects are visible to all yet they complained..

Motivational speakers want to do all these, how? Will they pay with cowries?

Motivational speakers want to equip the military - PMB paid for Super Tucano jets, they complained. PMB increased military spending, 422bn budgeted in 2018 for the military amidst our meager resources.
South African defence budget is thrice ours, no insurgency, smaller country

Our military will require a bigger budget obviously but we need to grind out the resources. They are not freely available..

Fela Durotoye wants a free bus system for pupils in secondary and primary schools. This is the function of the LG at most state Govt.. Rauf did it in Osun, Mimiko did same in Ondo, should this burden be on the FG? How will he work with governors who refused to access Subec funds

Debates aren't about what will you do, they should be focused on how will it be done. Plenty talk no dey fill basket..grant me 1hr with Fela Durotoye or Oby with facts and figures they will sweat because I want to know HOW. How?

How will he fund ASUU? ASUU is asking for 200bn annually. Our budget on education is 2018 was 435bn. ASUU wants to collect 50% of it.. the 30m Nigerians struggling to get other forms of education can go to hell.
13.5m out of schools kids should rot away..

Infrastructure deficit, security challenges, poverty but ASUU feels they are entitled to half of our education, military budget and our entire health budget for tertiary education..

We are not serious yet..

Motivational speakers will continue to excite us until we ask How?
