Achieved serenity in 2018. 2019 should be the year I bulletproof it.

Let me share some of my thoughts on this. Remember that for thoughts to automatically regulate behavior, they must be reinforced by meditation and deliberate inculcation.

Still learning, but I sense bliss.
Serenity is achieved by first understanding that everything, no matter how aesthetically refined or distorted it is, is still unfinished.

Crisis is how this fact makes itself apparent.

The pulling and shoving and rocking should be seen as how things try to achieve maturity.
Secondly, my next action in a crisis should be my best action, and as such requires my calm and considered thought.

Nothing I want is superior to the me that wants it, and so all my actions to obtain it should preserve my ability to enjoy it once it's here.
In the hurry to possess something, I threaten my appreciation and enjoyment of the things that are already present with me, old things that will help me enjoy the new even more deeply. If it doesn't complement the things I already value in my life, why then do I want it?
E-motions are bad leaders and they have other e-motions in store to punish my peace if I let them rule my life in the first instance. E-motions are their own consequences and rewards. I must apply them as a chef applies salt.
Everything in my life is subject to my decisions, and if I must make one quickly, I could decide that I will decide, and it is a valid decision too.
Most things can actually wait longer than they say they can. People are just mostly in a hurry to tick the box and move on to other things. Hurry is an attitude. Because I don't want to do anything I am not committed to, I care enough to do my best before moving on.
A thought offered in a hurry and off timely is actually going to be counterproductive. The only way to cotrol a conversation is to let it tap out voluntarily. Most people arrice where you wamt them if you don't interrupt them. Let them finish, or finish themselves off.
