The low currency of resentment comes from an insidious frustration we experience from trying so hard without permanent success to conform to His standards of good behaviour and conduct.
The way we were taught already destined us to doomsday. On the one hand, we know we need Him, but on the other, we are crippled by our repetitive failure to obey His commandments - commandments we were told were fundamental to His acceptance of us.
Not believing & not unconditionally accepting that we're loved by Him unconditionally is the root of all our anxiety. We know that we may miss out on a great life, because we remain perennially unworthy of His goodness & are unbelieving that He has made adequate provision for us.
The anxiety is killing people slowly. Although they consider themselves of fairly good behaviour, they're still unable to feel the peace that they have met with His approval, for as soon as they achieve some level of morality, a little mistake comes around again. Relapse.
Whereas we cannot access the power to change unless we first believe that we are loved unconditionally and that no better or worse behaviour could improve nor cancel His love - for the same Grace that assures of this love is also the One Who empowers us against dysfunctions.
The root of SIN NATURE is deep indeed, and no moral code could ever access it, no matter how meticulously that moral code is adhered to. SIN was a nature gotten at birth, long before our first act of SINS. In other words, we were born in a rebellious state. Psalm 51, Romans 5.
ALL HAVE SINNED, because ALL HAD THE SIN NATURE, even those who attained righteousness through the moral code of the LAW. The commandments just managed SINS, they had no power to destroy SIN from the root.

Fam, we HAVE PEACE WITH GOD right now, as a permanent experience, by believing in what THE SON DID FOR US, in taking the punishment of wrongs long done, being done, & that will be done. This is where many fall off the wagon and start their vehemence rejection of Grace's gift.
Why would we reject this? When He died 2000 years ago, were we that are alive now alive then; & if He took care of us then, we still being in the future, didn't that future also include tomorrow Saturday the 8th of December? And if it included this weekend, how about the next?
Believing we are forgiven & loved unconditionally NOW is necessary in order to access the power to change. Who could change of their own accord? Only God could qualify, and He could only make us as He is by giving us free access into all that He is. This is the genius of GRACE.
God's LOVE is a double edged sword. It cuts one way inwards, assuring us of our state of grace, giving us peace of mind, quenching all our self condemnation; then it cuts outwards, giving us the ability to love others, accept others, forgiving their flaws.
Therefore, it is easy to identify those who are being rooted in this love. They are practicing forgiveness as they have qualitatively experinced it, being assured that nothing anyone does could cause a damage the love of God towards them would not be able to repair effectively.
And if we lose the fear of the consequences of the wrong deeds of others against us, isn't it then easy to release them forgivingly, knowing that the love of our Father protects us from all harm? This bliss, even at its initial stage is powerful beyond measure.
This quiet hostility towards God, this anxiety over our future, this lack of assurance that we are heard, loved and secure, is cancerous. I could only pray that many SEE grace truly, not as a licence to sin, but as the licence to access the power to truly change.
