CBS News did a piece this morning on the writings of Malcolm X. Unsurprising to many, Haley left much out of the final draft, including entire chapters.
Malcolm X is a integral part of American history and the civil rights struggle. Here I want to address "owning" that legacy.
Because of his legacy many have been encouraged to take to causes of civil rights, human rights, or promulgation of Islam. All of this is very noble in intention, and being inspired to act based on this is a praiseworthy extension of Malcolm's legacy
The details of popular historic figures lives are many times unknown, uncertain, or exaggerated. Their influences extend out not only from their lives, but what their lives are assumed to be. As stories are passed down, they are embellished in the popular memory and more unclear.

The stickler for me, these 12 unelected officials, with self identified political affiliations, "independents" in majority... Cant be removed 👇

In my experience, a moderate is a liberal that likes to hunt and an independent is a liberal that is lying to themselves.

I'm concerned with the vagueness of the make up of this group... And it's effective permanence, with zero accountability to voters or politicians alike.
Seeing how we have a 3 term limit (6 years) in the Michigan house and 2 terms in the Michigan senate (8 years)

Perhaps not up ending what is not really a problem is the wiser approach. Yes.
