1. A lot of people did not appreciate what happened in November 2017. Or they chose not to see. Zimbabwe became a military state with a facade of civilian rule. Well, it was in some ways after 2008, but Mugabe’s dominance did not make it so plain. Since 2017, it’s been plain.
2. The soldiers got endorsement from the judiciary when Justice Chiweshe ruled in a contrived case that the military operation was lawful, notwithstanding that the then President had not deployed them. It was a fatal stroke. And here we are: the military does what it wants.
3. Those who ask why soldiers are doing this forget that they congratulated them & said they were right. This is the price we are all paying. They got a taste of the gun against citizens & they are using the only weapon they know. Talk of a man with only a hammer in his toolbox

1. The generation presently in charge of the country is bereft of the competence necessary to run the affairs of the State & deliver the public goods of good governance & economic prosperity. The generation wants power but sadly, it lacks the competence. They are simply incapable
2. Having been in positions of power for 38 years, they really have no excuse. They were part of a system that literally impoverished the majority of citizens. If they were young people today and out of power, they would be feeling exactly what the young people are feeling today.
3. After 38 years at the top of the pile, you would think they have made a tonne of wealth & need a rest. They could ride into the sunset while younger, innovative and more capable hands run the country. What is the point of slaughtering citizens for a country that is comatose?

I’m reliably advised regime has arrested MDC MP, Rusty Markham and Japhet Ncube, the ZCTU Secretary General. The crackdown continues #ZimabweShutDown #ZimbabweAtrocities
I have now been advised that MP Rusty Markham has been released. He had an unassailable alibi. But that’s our system - arrest first, investigate later! Thoughts with all those still detained.
Just to correct: the ZCTU SG is Japhet Moyo (not Ncube) - apologies for the error.

1. So in the We All Support Jeremy Corbyn group at least someone is honest about events Jeremy Corbyn has been engaged with, present at and has spoken at.

One of these being Al Quds Day, an event he was more than happy to continually support before he became @UKLabour leader.
2. Whats the problem with speaking and supporting Al Quds Day as Jeremy Corbyn has done, a lot in a nutshell.

Al Quds Day masquerades as pro-Palestinian, but as it was set up by Ayatollah Khomeni and is awash with Hezbollah flags, it resembles a celebration of Iran's regime.

a) Iran's Revolutionary Guards are committed to spreading terror abroad and created Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah.
b) It has committed crimes against humanity in Syria.
