Fox News is reporting on today's big news story: a Price is Right contestant was in the bathroom when she was told to come on down.
Finally Roger Stone comes up. A guest is brought on to give his reaction to it: "It's an indictment so they feel something illegal was done, I assume." He then begins talking about *actually* illegal things that went on during the campaign like "Hillary paying for a dossier."
Congressman Wenstrup is still talking about FISA, "dodgy dossiers," FBI corruption before the FISA court... all while the background scroll on Fox is aerial footage of the FBI at Stone's house in Florida.
Wenstrup then says no Republicans have the ability to end the shutdown, only Pelosi can do that, and suggests that Russia and liberals conspired to frame the Covington Catholic students. The Fox host thanks him for being on, and that's it for now for their Roger Stone update.
There's a quick story on how Trump passed an act allowing the government to shoot drones, and next up: special guest Alan Dershowitz to discuss Roger Stone!
Fake news, we're after the break and there's no Dershowitz. But there is (finally!) some boring but very normal news coverage of a high profile arrest, with shots of Stone arriving at the Fort Lauderdale court house.
Dershowitz is on: "Typical Mueller indictment. Only crimes that resulted from his investigation! Mueller has virtually failed in his job of finding crimes that existed before he was appointed."
Dershowitz: The point of the Stone arrest is Mueller's tactic to force them to turn on Trump, "It's to get them to sing, perhaps even to compose."
Fox News is upset that Roger Stone was arrested at 6am. Dershowitz says "normally" there are no arrests like this, the FBI just calls the defendant's attorney and ask them to bring the defendant in.
Dershowitz, on what you find when you "look at the scorecard" of Mueller's investigation: "It's really disappointing, when the only crimes you can find are the ones you created."
That's it for the Stone coverage. Surreal how yet another senior Trump campaign official has been arrested, and if this was all you saw about it, you'd walk away with the impression that Trump is being victimized by a flailing, desperate prosecutor with unconstrained power.
