I’m struggling to find a way to ask this question.

When people say “Scandinavia is a good example of social welfare helping everyone” and someone responds “But there’s no racial diversity in Scandinavian countries that’s why it works” - what on earth does that mean?
And it is adult people who say such things. And every time i struggle to get my mind to understand this response. Populations with different skin tones make good social services impossible?
Wait...no. I still don’t get it. Maybe I should frame it another way. Is the argument that equal access to healthcare and education is only viable if everyone is the “same race”?
Having actually lived in a Nordic country I know that even their supposed homogeneity doesn’t stop them from seeking out “otherness” in each other. Diversity does not justify oppression
White supremacy is not natural. It is an ideology that people are taught. Diversity does not cause inequality - racism does.
There’s a strange idea that equality cannot exist in the presence of diversity. That is an imperialist invention. Diversity does not cause racism - imperialism does.
People who say “You can only trust those who look like you” do not consider that this too is a product of imperialist propaganda. Who taught you that?
Also those of this argument ignore the reality that many socialist policies thrive in ‘diverse’ populations. And suspicion of welfare crooks is also rampant in ‘homogenous’ places
