Roger Stone is due in federal court in a little less than an hour. He's expected to plead not guilty. But will we see a circumspect criminal defendant or the flamboyant political operator? Stay tuned.

So far, Stone's representation isn't off to a great start. His lawyers didn't file the correct paperwork to represent him in DC. The judge gave them until 9 a.m. to fix that if they wanted to be heard today. As far as we can tell from the public docket, they didn't do it.
Update: The court has agreed to admit Stone's lawyers anyway. Neither of them seems to specialize in criminal defense, though. His arraignment starts in about 10 minutes, so we'll see how it goes.

Sounds like we will soon get some additional info on the maybe-(probably)-Mueller mystery grand jury case. The D.C. Cir. has granted a request to make public a previously sealed filing from the Mystery Company.
Very, very little additional information. The court has confirmed the identities of the lawyers who represent Company A. They're with Alston & Bird.
The certification that the once-secret filing complies with the court's word count limits and as in the correct font is longer than the once-secret filing.

Trump said Rod Rosenstein has told his lawyers that he is neither a target nor a subject of the special counsel investigation. He said he did not know if he is a subject in the investigation of payoffs to two women before the 2016 election to silence them about alleged affairs.
The name "Trump" appears 29 times in the indictment revealed on Friday by the special counsel of his longtime adviser Roger Stone.
Federal prosecutors in New York have rather famously referred to Trump as "Individual-1."

A federal court in Oklahoma has dismissed the lawsuit Carter Page filed against the Democratic National Committee and others over the Russia "dossier." Page, who had claimed he was a victim of "terrorism," represented himself.
The court concluded it lacked personal jurisdiction over the defendants. Here's the decision ->

2. Crim Law 101: the only time a suspect must be read his rights is if the police intend to engage in “custodial interrogation.” In other words, just because someone is arrested, transported and booked, that doesn’t mean he must be read his Miranda rights...
3. It’s ONLY if the police want to question/interrogate him about his crimes must he be informed of his Miranda rights (right to silence, right to an attorney, etc.)
