Japanese companies who are/look like they are going to move their European HQ out of the UK because of Brexit - mostly if they have a large proportion of sales to EU, easier to invoice from within EU after Brexit. Others will remain/are already run on management fees only 1/
Daido Metal Europe - bearings manufacturer - employs around 180 people in UK. 84% of £80m sales to non-UK Europe. Set up Daido Metal Europe GmbH in 2017, transferred most of sales administration to it. 2/
Daifuku Europe - materials handling systems - employs around 70 people in UK, 2/3 of £17m sales are to non-UK Europe, branches in Sweden, Germany, Denmark. Set up UK branch of Daifuku Europe GmbH in Oct 2018. 3/

Novoferm Europe - garage/industrial door manufacturer, owned by Sanwa Shutter, employs 2500 across Europe, 148 in UK £450m turnover. Was holding company for Europe but as of Dec 2018, merged into Germany operation and became subsidiary of it. 5/
Sanden International Europe - compressors, vending machines, employs 223 people in UK, £0.5bn turnover, 84% non UK Europe. Being merged into Germany subsidiary Jan 2019.6/
Sharp Electronics Europe - technically not a Japanese company any more, owned by Taiwan's Hon Hai. £106m turnover (82% non UK EU) 200 UK employees. UK inventory/logistics/warehousing transferred to France, parts to Germany. Board/management still in UK. 2018 accounts overdue. 7/
Sony Europe - £3.5bn turnover, 81% to non UK Europe. Over 1000 employees in UK. Being merged into Netherlands subsidiary Sony Europe BV Oct 2018 (as tweeted by me at the time, not picked up by media until Jan 2019) 8/
Toshiba International - power systems side - >100 UK employees in European HQ, £82m turnover. Has been having a meltdown globally these past few years anyway. Set up Toshiba Client Solutions GmbH with a branch in the UK Oct 2018 9/
Vantec Europe - mainly provide Just in Time logistics for Nissan so news that X-Trail won't be built in UK is a blow. Employ >1200 in UK. £46m turnover. Had already set up UK branches of Vantec World Transport Netherlands in 2016. 10/
Yazaki Europe - cable harnesses for automotive, £2bn turnover, 87% non UK EU, 75 employees in UK. One to watch. Already has a UK branch of Germany subsidiary. 11/
