Something really odd in the newspapers today. Theresa May has written an article, and it has a smell of death about it, like it's written from a vantage of complete irrelevance.

She seems to have gone bunker-nuts. She's moving imaginary pieces around her board, and the patterns in her head bear no relation to external reality.

She's talking about going back to Europe with a renewed mandate, oblivious to the fact Europe has finished that part and is moving on to the ratification part.

She still thinks that Europe is going to brush away the Irish border.
Well, they're not going to do that, and the fact that our prime minister still keeps asking the same stupid question after all this time proves that she has got no idea what else to do.

Well, Europe won't renegotiate the Irish border, and they won't allow it to be temporary. So what happens when they say no?
They've now got eight weeks to face up to the choice I've been telling them for the last two years.
Leave with nothing or don't leave at all.

And the Tories' stupidity is that they've spent two and a half years since the referendum telling everyone it was all going fine.

And now you've got to tell them you've failed.

Because now the Tories have to turn around and tell the country that oops, we can't do it.
