Well, next week Theresa May has got to bring her withdrawal agreement back for another go. Europe won't re-write it, and the Brexiteers are determined to vote against it.

There might be half a dozen Labour MPs stupid enough to vote for it, but not enough to overwhelm the 50 or so Tories voting against.
So Theresa May is still going to lose by something round 100 votes.

And this puts us in an interesting place because we will have just six weeks left before we get expelled, and no more votes in parliament because you're not allowed to keep voting on the same thing.

So now what you've got is what I warned you about if you don't learn to think ahead.
Theresa May is about to resign, leaving the Tories with no leader, no majority and no policy, just as we're about to get kicked out of Europe.

First of all the Tories are going to have a leadership contest, which unless they're willing to hand it to Boris Johnson without a contest is going to take them into March.
And then a general election which is going to take right up until Brexit day itself.

Yes, that's right. If Theresa May resigns the minute she loses her vote, and the Tories call a general election the minute they've got a new leader, we can just squeeze a general election on March 28th, the day before Brexit.
