So I know y’all have been screaming that politics and sports don’t mix but I live in Atlanta and the legacy of today’s super bowl will be all the community members who were terrorized and arrested by ICE and Trumps government during their takeover of this city.
21 savage is just one of many people who had their lives turned upside down as fascists got to take over this city for a weekend all so y’all could watch a ball get thrown and sponsors could get paid.
So ya actually politics and sports do mix.

On my first day of work I was just observing the classroom and I hear this kid yell out: “is anyone in this classroom even fucking good at math, I feel like LeBron James playing against kindergarteners.” And I almost fell out laughing.
I turned to my supervisor and said: “is he actually good at math?” And she tells me he’s probably the best at math in the entire class. It was obvious he had some addiction problems but that he very was smart.

You know what really grinds my gears? When people who did nothing to help Bernie win in 2016 other than shitpost tell me I’m the establishment if I ever criticize him. I was a delegate, spent over a year exclusively working to get him elected. STFU.
I criticize him cuz I want him to do better. But you’re not going to question my fucking credentials over the internet like you’re some radical.
If you think the president is what’s going to bring us revolution you aren’t radical in the first place.

Bernie staffers and campaign workers should all be required by the campaign to do racial sensitivity trainings and trainings on trauma and historical/institutional white supremacy. The shit some of y’all say is just so bad.
Bernie supporter to me: So the rules of engagement are different when AA and non AA are working together? Don't you think this will discourage people of all backrounds from wanting to work together if rules of engagement/tactics are going to be this controversial and complicated

I really need to discuss yesterday’s episode of #InsecureHBO. If you haven’t seen it, you might want to ignore this thread. So...I know y’all are all about your relationship hives but there were KEY social issues being addressed.
She’s addressing the issue of financial instability at 30, the inequity of community services, white saviorism, monogamy vs all other relationship structures, and a lot more.

But let’s zoom in on the equity + saviorism.
I can count on my fingers, toes, and someone else’s how many times I’ve been in a conference room where someone was defending something completely racist or inequitable—in education. Like, deaf ears.
