@szymielewicz ... without potent legislation and will/mean to enforce it, capitalistic companies will exploit any loophole, any grey - even if dark, dark grey - zones. They will buy scientist and expert to claim false reports (scientificamerican.com/article/exxon-… and all cancer related studies fir ex)...
@szymielewicz ... and of course they will try to influence/bribe governments to let exploit people and make money (see for ex tabac industry in Germany, still able to do a lot more things than elsewhere in Europe, and all the they give to politician parties). And of course, it's even worst...
@szymielewicz it's worse with #SurveillanceCapitalism for two reasons: 1/ authoritarian regime are addicts data and list allowing to arbitrary control people. In fact, even well willing government can be trick to that addiction (of course you want to know who pedophiles and terrorists are!)...
@szymielewicz and importantly 2/ #SurveillanceCapitalism is different from tabac/petrol in that it deprives human from their fundamental right (and need) to privacy, which leads to large scale manipulation and extremely easy to do blackmailing. And so government corruption/democracy collapse

@szymielewicz all of the above shows that a much more strict/definitive solution is needed against #SurveillanceCapitalism, a systemic one. And a solution that will likely need to be pushed by us, the citizens of earth (here goes several dozen texts/videos by @aral 2018.ar.al)
