As I've said before, in India "secularism" is identical to #ChristoIslamism. Whatever supports the #ChristoIslamic conversion war will be called secular, who ever opposes it will be dubbed "communal" and targeted.

Secularism is a cure for the disease of totalitarian monotheistic Abrahamic religion. So it is useful in Christian and Islamic dominated societies. It is a step backwards for plural India and is used for the opposite effect—to propagate intolerant Abrahamisms.

Because the State foists a secular model of religion onto Indian traditions, it forces them to respond like religions. Thus it replicates European religious conflict, for which secularism was fashioned, onto India. Secularism creates violence in India.
Unfortunately both the “right-wing” and the “left-wing” have internalized secularism as an essential good. The BJP wants “true secularism.” Rather this misfit European ideology should be rejected completely.

The "secular" state of India directly funds conversions to #ChristoIslam and offers special benefits to those who convert. This is true for both the Center and the state governments.
