£774,053,350 worth of penalty charge notices have been issued on the Dartford Crossing up until Dec 2018 (11,057,905 PCNs at £70 each). Amount collected may have been less (penalty is halved if paid within 14 days) but it's still a massive hidden tax!

For reference the Dart Charge system was put in place in November 2014. So in just over 4 years, drivers passing through the area clocked up over three quarters of a billion pounds in fines. It's a run-rate of £15.48 million a month in fines!
