MINI-THREAD:

I'm going to tell you all something I didn't mention in the piece I wrote today, and something I'm not likely to talk about much going forward. In the context of letting you know a little bit more about what kind of person Christine Assange is.

#Unity4J
Anyone who watched my appearances closely in the tail end of last year would have noticed the decline in my health. It wouldn't come as much of a surprise to any keen observer that I overworked myself in 2018, was run down, and physically coming unravelled as a result.
I was having some really worrying symptoms and it was clear to me that I was ill and risking serious damage to myself. That's why I stepped back from Unity4J and why I've stopped doing any media appearances for now. Sure enough, in Jan I was diagnosed with a nasty chronic illness
When Christine found out about this, she didn't just say "thanks for everything you did for Unity4J" then forget I existed. She did the opposite. She took me under her wing like she always does for people, and started teaching me about diet and nutrition and natural remedies.
She rummaged through recipes that were perfect for aiding my condition, convinced me to go sugar-free, got me eating fish oil and an avocado a day, taught me how to cook basic nutritious meals and to look after myself in ways I've never known or had the inclination to try to do.
Along with @ViKu1111 who has also proved herself an incredible and true friend, going out of her way to educate and support me near-daily since my diagnosis, the two of them have completely revolutionised my ideas about cooking, food, nutrition, personal health care & maintenance
Within a week my hair which had been drab and due to my condition is literally falling out, began to shine again. My skin which had been cell grey had oils and colour and sheen in it again. For the first time in months I've started to recognise myself when I look in the mirror.
The love and care and kindness and selflessness that these women have shown me (as well as @ElizabethleaVos who is one of the most caring supports anyone can be lucky enough to have when they are in a time of need) moves me so deeply. These are real ladies. Beautiful human beings
There are some very special men in my life too but this thread is to honour these ladies who have crowded around me, their arms like protective shields, their shared wisdom literally revitalising me, at a time when I absolutely needed it the most. I can never thank them enough.
Tears of gratitude in my eyes, thread complete. I love you @AssangeMrs @ViKu1111 @ElizabethleaVos
