She says it’s #fake. Let’s see. Globally, measles kills ~0.2% of people who contract it, but that can get up to 10% if the victim is malnourished. Ten. Percent. So impoverished countries are far harder hit.
Measles was eliminated in the US in 2000. The only cases are when it’s brought from other countries. Unvaxxed people are susceptible (& even vaxxed people, though at far lower rates). So when you hear about outbreaks in the US, that’s due to anti-vaxxers.

Measles doesn’t have to kill you to be incredibly harmful. Complications include ear infections, diarrhea, pneumonia, encephalitis. Children under 5 are the most susceptible. As many as 1 in 20 of those kids will get pneumonia, the most common cause of death for kids w/ measles.

Her claim that measles fights cancer is dangerous quackery of the highest order. Babies are dying here, and she’s spreading this kind of horrific nonsense.
… and, of course, she claims it’s fake news by CNN. This sort of Trumpian rage against truth is literally killing people on top of all the other damage it does.
