If you need to publicly criticize the work of other people to feel that your work is worth it, hint: your work probably is not worth it.

Respect for other artists - no matter if you think that what they do looks like crap - is one of the most essential things ever.
Everyone was a beginner at some point. If you don't like something, don't talk about it then.

Criticizing other people's work will not make you a better artist/professional.
No one has criticized me. I was just thinking about it and thought I should share.

Edison began his career as an inventor in Newark, New Jersey, with the automatic repeater and his other improved telegraphic devices, but the invention that first gained him wider notice was the phonograph in 1877.

On this day in 1830: Beginning of the famous debate between French naturalists Georges Cuvier and Étienne Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire on animal structure.

For around two months the debate occurred in front of the French Academy of Sciences.
Cuvier asserted that animal structure was determined by an organism's functional needs while Geoffroy suggested an alternative theory that all animal structures were modified forms of one unified plan.
In terms of scientific significance, the discussion between the two naturalists showed stark differences in scientific methods as well as general philosophy.

Lala Lajpat Rai, was born to an Urdu teacher, Lala Radha Kishan and Gulab Devi , in a tiny village called Dhudika, in the Ferozepur district of Punjab, on the 28th of January, 1865. Into a family that valued, freedom and self-respect, values he imbibed growing up.
Growing up amidst poverty, Lajpat Rai, nevertheless managed to complete his education, studying law at Govt. College, Lahore. The stint at Lahore’s Govt College, was what shaped his value system too.

1/This terrific piece from @maddow is significant as a reminder that Vladimir Putin told the America people and the world he directed people to help Trump in 2016, and our President continues to call the investigation into Russia's interference a hoax.
2/Think of the extraordinary efforts made by Trump/GOP over past 2 years to deny that Russia's interference took place, something we already knew in summer of 2016. It has been their central project. Perhaps most irresponsible use of federal/Congressional power in US history.
3/The yrs of Trump-led lying abt the Russian attack has prevented normal organic societal response to such an event. No big commission to understand what happened was allowed to form. No legislation to address was passed. DHS/FBI still seem unprepared, our DHS Sec confused.

Are U really safe? 'U lock the house door U feel safe but there's glass windows everywhere. There's an illusion of safety in America a bubble that everybody feels like they're entitled. Your safe becse U feel U can't be touched?
2) When I'm in the states & I walk around, look at the people I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone. Nobody knows, nobody cares, everybody's walking around either looking at their cell phone, looking at their shoes, think about the gossip & a little illusion of safety! Are you?
3) But, in short again the way I see everything is that until we have a war on our soil🇺🇸 it's not real to the regular person. It's something that happens to other people/other countries!
