Bernie benefits from the donor list he built in 2016--an email list he refused to share with the DNC.
Harris, Klobuchar & Warren are 1st-time presidential candidates.

When Bernie 1st launched his presidential campaign in 2015, he raised $1.5M in his first 24hrs; Harris matched that figure in her first 24hrs.

Bernie has an advantage b/c he ran in 2016.

Ironic for ppl to say they care about Russian interference in our election and whether Trump is compromised by Russia, while supporting an oppositional candidate who not only voted against all the sanctions against Russia but had Manafort’s associate as his 2016 chief strategist
That kind of irony is indicative of gross negligence & ignorance. They purport to care about Russian interference only in relation to Trump but ignore other dimensions of the story. Kremlin favors the candidate who voted against all the Russian sanctions
And it’s not “red scare” to point this out. It’s the reality. The Kremlin has been actively influencing Western elections, has been hacking and has a troll farm in St Petersburg where they attempt to rig and influence social media debates to favor candidates & circulate disinfo

I haven't endorsed anyone for 2020 and probably won't. I like Beto; he ran an inspiring 2018 Senate campaign in TX. I also like that both Harris and Klobuchar are former prosecutors. Having a former prosecutor run against a flagrantly crony lawbreaker like Trump appeals to me.
Biden is considered a safe choice b/c he's a familiar face w/ exp. as VP. However, Biden also comes w/ decades-old baggage. He's tied to the Obama admin, which can be either an asset or a liability. Like HRC, Biden may not be viewed as a "change" candidate
Because there are so many Dem candidates running, I don't feel compelled to commit to a single candidate this early. Also, I would literally vote for any one of them over Trump. The past few years under Trump has been a f*cking nightmare.

Like Roger Stone, Paul Manafort and his wife were swingers. According to his daughter Andrea's hacked text messages, Manafort pressured his wife Kathleen to engage in group sex. Some of those encounters were filmed; Andrea had inadvertently found some of those recordings.
The National Enquirer briefly reported about Manafort's mistress in 2017, which led some pundits to believe that Trump and his sycophants were trying to hold something over Manafort's head. slate.com/news-and-polit…
Manafort's personal conduct is only relevant in the context of whether he is/was susceptible to kompromat/blackmail.

We've seen Trump and co's attempt to use the National Enquirer to publish compromising info to embarrass people like Bezos, for example.

Bernie Sanders has higher net favorables than any other candidate among Black adults. Part of that is driven by higher name recognition, but even if you adjust for that, Sanders remains at the top (with Harris, Klobuchar, & Booker right behind).

Should this hypothetical reversal of our founding documents take place, I propose a few conditions.

#1 Every single voter roll in every state will be scrubbed. We will start from 0.
#2 Every single voter shall provide a US Birth Certificate that has been notarized along with a voter ID card that has been issued by the Department Of Homeland Security.
#3 Along with elections of public officials, all policy issues will be voted on by the registered voter base.

In my city--85% Democratic, majority black & hasn't had a GOP mayor since 1952, the conversation is a mix of "Can we convince Hillary to run again" and "Harris, Gillibrand or even Warren would be good." Also some Booker.

Dave, few white men are Democrats.
.@daveweigel and other white male pundits continuing to claim "Dems say" when they only talk to other white men who do not comprise the Democratic base is a real problem and hovers dangerously close to fake news. Women & POC think white men, not Hillary, was the problem in 2016.
I look forward to the white bros who claimed in 2016 that they'd vote for a woman as long as it wasn't Hillary to bleat out their complaints about Harris, Gillibrand, Klobuchar & Warren, all of whom are more accomplished than any of the men running except Biden who's lost 2X.
