Today is probably the 2nd most important day before the upcoming #IsraElex19 - today is the deadline for submitting candidate lists from all the parties, and small-party politicians are scrambling to come up with last-minute alliances /1

In the past few days, the Right made such an alliance. In the past 24 hours, the Zionist Left has tried and failed to strike a campaign deal, and 2 small Arab parties recombined /2

But the BIG news (supposedly) is the creation of the brand new list "Blue & White", bringing together the "Center" - 3 former CoStaffs of the IDF and a former talk show host turned middling politician. /3

This new "center" bloc is the #NeverBibi camp. They represent no substantial policy change over Bibi - but they are united in their belief that the current PM is unfit to continue. /4

But don't kid yourself - Blue & White would serve as junior coalition partners under Bibi if the election gives Bibi's Likud the electoral advantage. /5

Should Blue and White win an electoral advantage, Likud (w/ or w/o Bibi) would serve as junior partner under the rotation government of Benny Gantz & Yair Lapid /6

But the most important day of the upcoming #IsraElex19 will be when AG Mandelblit makes public his findings re the multiple corruption cases against Bibi. /7

Barring a sudden and unanticipated flareup with Hamas/Hezbollah/Iran, nothing will determine who will be the next PM of Israel more than whatever Mandelblit announces.
