Everyone needs to watch this video of @SenFeinstein disparaging literal children from @SunriseMvmt calling on her to support @AOC and @SenMarkey’s Green New Deal.

For years, the top of the Democratic Party has been wealthier, whiter, and more conservative than the base of the party.

The Democratic Party looks a lot more like AOC than Feinstein, Schumer, Durbin, and their big corporate donors.

We need change.

One major issue with CAP's attempt to rebrand Medicare For All as Medicare Extra:

Medicare Extra could genuinely undermine Medicare by forcing Medicare to compete with private insurance corporations.

It's not idealism vs gradualism. Medicare Extra could be a step backward.
Medicare's model is universal social insurance like Social Security.

Everyone pays taxes and once you’ve reached a certain age you’re covered.

But Medicare Extra might cause the sickest to be pushed out of private insurance and onto the public system.
By taking on the sickest and forcing the public Medicare system to continue competing with private insurance corporations -- you’ll force Medicare to start acting like a private insurance company in a race to the bottom.

This could mean rising copays, deductibles, and premiums.

New @DNC rules, to get a spot on the debate stage in June, these are fantastic!!

Qualifying for the debates is based on a "two-path" system, determined by both polling and grassroots fundraising.

1. Registering at 1% or more support in three separate polls (either
national polls or polls of the electorate in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and/or Nevada) publicly released between January 1, 2019, and 14 days prior to the date of the debate,

2. Candidates may qualify if they have received campaign contributions from at least 65,000
unique donors, and a minimum of 200 unique donors per state in at least 20 US states.

This is to qualify for the first 2 debates. This will really cull the herd, and I'm super excited!!

Find your candidates that you like, find their Twitter handle, and give even $5!

1. This is such bad journalism and it shows the DC media has learned nothing from Hillary Clinton's emails.

So here's a short thread on why.
2. The story is not what it claims to be. It seeks to create controversy where there is none. In fact, the premise of the article is that this is a huge controversy among Democrats.

The Post reporters suggest that it is -- literally -- twice.
