He made this request at the end of January hoping to take jurisdiction away from DOJ OPR who normally investigates (or fails to) misconduct by DOJ attorneys & prosecutors.

Sounds like Acosta sent the discussion up to Higher Level Review at the Justice Department. So there will probably be good documentation!
