Where do I even start? Everything about this is troubling. Starting with: what the fuck, Jeremy Wright? There is not a single word in your blog about this visit about democracy. You've made no response to the report on fake news. And this man is in contempt of your own parliament
But sure, Jeremy, if Zuckerberg won't come to Britain to answer qs why not go & pay homage at company HQ. Just be sure not to ask anything difficult like: why have you refused to hand over the evidence we've asked for? And just exactly how was Facebook data used in the EUref?
Wright's response to parliament's interim report was so excruciatingly dull & so overwhelmingly missed the point on everything that it came as zero shock that the only people who bothered to read it were people being paid to do so in Moscow...

Ok. Serious question. A lot of people are, I'm sure, fed up with me & others banging on & on about Brexit crimes & foreign interference. While almost every other British news org ignores it. Almost all politicians. Almost all political journalists. So...what if it is Watergate?
Theresa May is clearly covering something up here. What? What will we find out in 2, 5, 10 years' time?
Clarification! This wasn't a fishing-for-support sort of a tweet (though thank you). It was a 'how can we we reframe this story so that people understand we are witnessing - and indeed participating in - a political cover-up of potentially historic proportions'. Thoughts? Ideas?

A great story. But it wasn’t just Bankski. The official Vote Leave campaign headed by @BorisJohnson & @michaelgove did *exactly the same*. It was a front page @ObserverUK story last year. TOTAL silence from both of them on it
It’s breathtaking how the leaders of this campaign, one of whom is a govt minister, have refused to answer any question about this. Or how the campaign deliberately set out to break the law. Where is the accountability @BorisJohnson @michaelgove ?

1. I see I need to explain the whole talking in code thing. And you can ask any other investigative journalist working on the intel beat if this is true, which it is. If you cover this beat, you will at one point or another have to talk to scumbags who do side work
2. For IC because they have the criminal credentials that make them ideal for infiltrating various criminal ops. They make a statement as fact (even if its not) as a way of communicating a desired action.
3. Or they will drop a single word and not elaborate and you understand - without being told step by step what they want you to do. Now as a journalist, you can employ a take it or leave it approach to any hints or "suggestions." But if you are working for the POTUS...

Starting a series on the Rich Man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19-31). It has many connections with surrounding passages. First one to note is that 16:1 and 16:19 begin almost identically (one word different in Greek): ‘There was a certain rich man’.
So we have a story of a waster 15:11-32, followed by a story of a rich man + a waster 16:1-9, followed by a story of a rich man 16:19-31.
He wore purple and fine linen and feasted every day. That makes a close echo of Ahasuerus’s excessive 180 day feast in Esther 1 which climaxes with the purple and fine linen of 1:6. Rich Man treats himself like royalty, but this parable, like Esther, is a great story of reversal.

All the times the govt's own EU referendum pamphlet, delivered to every house, said that voting Leave meant "less access", "losing full access" & "uncertainty and risk" about the Single Market. But a majority voted Leave anyway.
