y’all – i’m trying to break out of my friday funk but folks are killing me when it comes to this feinstein-sunrise video. the full video does not make it better, imo. i actually tried to watch the whole thing before the shorter version but it made me too sad. 1/
12 min, 2 minutes – it doesn’t matter how long the convo lasted; she still said those sentences TO CHILDREN. i don’t talk to adults like that! an internship offer doesn’t erase that. 2/
again, no disrespect to the senator. i know she deals with pressures that i can’t imagine. but the bar here was so low. all she had to do was BE NICE. and we’re adults; we know how to listen politely to people we don’t agree with. that’s all that was required of her. 3/
those babies just wanted to be heard. she did not have to talk to them that way. to deflect from that and blame the fact that the senator looks bad on video editing or russians (really?) is ridiculous. it’s on video because she said it! 4/
btw the alternate GND she gave them is a whole other issue. but i don’t get paid enough to deal with that on a saturday.
i’m sorry but i just can’t get over this. ISN’T 80 PERCENT OF BEING AN ADULT JUST LISTENING TO PEOPLE YOU DON’T AGREE WITH AND SMILING SO YOU DON’T LOSE YOUR JOB?! why are people acting like it’s inconceivable that the senator is capable of doing the same???
