(1) McClatchy DC is correct (as it has often been in its Trump-Russia reporting) and Cohen is lying;

OR

(2) people are misreading the McClatchy DC report, which only intimates that Cohen's *phone* was in Prague on the given date (thus linking up with the Steele Dossier)
1/ McClatchy also cited *surveillance* info in which a Russian "remarked that Cohen was in Prague." As to *that*, it's *entirely possible a Russian said this* (as McClatchy DC reported) and was either (1) wrong, or (2) being misleading because s/he knew they were being overheard.
2/ But neither @brianstelter nor anyone else could responsibly say that either McClatchy is correct or Cohen is; it's entirely possible that Cohen has never been to Prague—except in '01, as he told WSJ—and that McClatchy is correct about *both* the phone and surveillance records.

(1) Cohen spoke of "collusion" per Team Trump's narrow definition—conspiracy to commit computer crimes with advance knowledge of hacking. His answer was unsurprising.
(2) Phone evidence may well place his phone in Prague, and not him.
(3) No one ever said Cohen knew of sex tapes.
1/ This said, I *agree* with @rgoodlaw that there are indicia of reliability in *many* things Cohen said. (And I'm not including any of the statements he was able to corroborate with documentary evidence.) For instance, he was adamant that Trump would never *ever* strike Melania.
2/ A man out to destroy Trump at all costs would've at least allowed for the *possibility* that a man like Trump who's confessed to multiple sexual assaults *could* assault a woman. But Cohen defended Trump on this score and *passionately* so. That's an indication of reliability.

1/ OMG, the end of good times. No more left to do. Where’s the innovation. Shocking news from Apple on revenue, but needs some context.

Maturing or mature markets are not dead markets. The world did not change overnight even with this announcement.

This isn’t this is fine. This is fine but with a circle/slash around it.
2/ Smartphones are the first product that penetrated nearly the entire world from essentially two vendors (“google” and Apple). That itself is shocking.

It means dynamics at play are new to everyone. Predictions about future are tricky when one runs out of untapped customers.
3/ As many like @benedictevans and @asymco shown the growth in iPhone units has been slowing (to shrinking by some measures). That led to stopping the reporting of units from Apple “certainly a sign” as many noted.

1. "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" by Michael Wolff. Yes, I hate-read this book in a matter of days. Problematically, Bannon comes across as an articulate, insightful source and not an arch nationalist parasite. Will Wolff's depiction be hagiography in the future?
2. "The Invention of the White Race, Volume 1: Racial Oppression and Social Control" and "The Invention of the White Race, Volume 2: The Origin of Racial Oppression in Anglo-America" by Theodore Allen. Who knew how important Bacon's Rebellion (1676) was to the history of racism?

This is how the death of Bola Ige was announced on some Radio stations.
What I posted is a translation, what was announced was in Yoruba:

“Eni ba mo agbe k’o sun’kun aro;
Eni ba mo aluko k’o sun’kun osun;
Eni ba mo lekeleke k’o sun’kun efun”.

The death of Bola Ige is undoubtedly the last ethnically tragic event that happened to the Yorubas.
Of all the politicians who lived after Awolowo, none was more colourful (perhaps even more than Awo himself) and none was as charismatic as Bola Ige.

Unfortunately for him, he also stirred deep envy from his friends and deep hatred from those who chose to be his enemies.

Reading all this Urban Meyer stuff and it is WILD how anyone who wants him fired is accused of being a liberal. We’ve reached the point where one’s feelings about assaulting women tells you which party they belong to. Full stop.
But I guess anyone who still supports Mr. Grab Em By The Pussy, Don’t Even Wait has to believe that women are liars, women are not as important as men, or both.
It is mind-blowing that violence against women is a partisan issue.

Those who know me from when I was in Government will confirm my strong reticence to accepting some of the coterie of Awards that various groups in our country, generously confer on people.

I have always felt that nothing of our country justifies the LARGE number of Awards.
I set a very High Threshold for determining which Award, one would accept. It helped me weed out so many of those ‘one kain’ awards that featured very ‘interesting characters’ as ‘co-awardees’.

It is time to raise that Threshold even higher. Really.
One of the Awards conferred on me more than a decade ago, is the National Honors Award of CFR - Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic.

You see, I hardly ever remember that one is a CFR.

Life is so much more than things like Awards.

Yes. Don’t be taken by ‘Awards’.
