An important thing you can do today: Call your member of Congress and ask her or him to vote for permanent funding for the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund, which is running out of money as people continue to suffer effects of the attacks.
After the attacks, we worked to put funding in place for first responders working in hazardous conditions. Since 9/11, over 40,000 first responders have come down with cancer, asthma, and other conditions from the toxins they were exposed to. cdc.gov/wtc/ataglance.…
Permanent funding should be a bipartisan matter and easy to get done. Indeed, it should have been done already.

The Trump administration opened a new assault on Americans' health care yesterday by telling a federal appeals court that the entire law should be struck down.

It's a sickening attack on people with pre-existing conditions, seniors, and young people. cnn.com/2019/03/25/pol…
The move is a dramatic escalation on the attacks on Obamacare in the courts, even for the Trump administration. Under Jeff Sessions, the Justice Department had argued some parts of the law could stand. Now, all of the law's protections will be at the mercy of conservative judges.
If Republicans prevail in court:

- 20 million people will lose coverage
- Protections for pre-existing conditions will be gone
- Young people won't be able to stay on their parents' plans until age 26
- Limits on coverage will return
- Caps on out-of-pocket expenses will be gone

An administration's budget says a lot about what—and, more importantly, who—it values.

So let's talk about the Trump administration's 2020 budget proposal and why it makes clear that this administration doesn’t value seniors, low-income families, and young people.
The budget would cut or remove the following over the next decade:

- $845 billion from Medicare
- $241 billion from Medicaid
- $220 billion from the SNAP nutrition program for low-income families
- $207 billion from federal student loan programs
Instead of investing in Americans and their families, the Trump budget would:

1. Add $33 billion to the Defense budget for a total of $718 billion.

Even without those additions, our defense budget is equal to the military spending of half the world. vox.com/2015/8/23/9189…

The last lawfully ratified state constitution of Pennsylvania is 1838. All the state constitutions after 1860 are NOT lawfully ratified because #Congress collapse on November 1860 when the southern nations seceded. I will remind everyone we are still under martial law since 1861.

Ignore the polls and get out there and #Vote on November 6th. Relying on polling is a relic of a time gone by.
I’m not saying looking at @FiveThirtyEight’s model and charts and stuff isn’t cool, because it is and provides some insight. But no matter what the numbers say, it’s most certainly NEVER an excuse to not #Vote because you feel your peeps are a “lock”
Need nothing further than to point to 2016. Which by the way, @FiveThirtyEight didn’t really have wrong, but the “selected not elected” mindset existed before 2016. Why else would over 100 million people choose NOT to participate in their civic duty to choose their leaders.

Nurses are reporting “still not water or electricity in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico since Maria.” Nurses have set up a clinic at a FEMA site and I’m quoting here “This was also FEMA’s first day there,” this is a report of today folks! Nearly 3weeks after hurricane!
I can't stress this enough folks! This nurses are leaving their children & families, taking their vacation time to go help our brothers & sisters in #PuertoRico they'll have no water, no electricity & no roof over their heads for weeks! This is a true humanitarian crisis.
