It is good for the billionaires who own baseball teams to have to pay a larger share of the wealth the teams create for them to the players who play the game.
I would rather the Yankees pay Machado $300M/10 years than Harper $330M/13 years but also they could afford either or both because the team prints money for its owners, who would prefer to convince the fans that they need to keep the payroll low.
(All the people who followed me over the Gaetz stuff suddenly realizing I am a Yankees fan and a sports commie.)

The problem with CNN hiring Sarah Isgur as a political editor isn't that she's conservative. Networks put conservative voices on air all the time. But an editor has a direct role in shaping coverage and makes editorial decisions.
Giving a political editor job to a partisan operative who has pledged support of a 2020 candidate is an ethical minefield. That person is in a position to make decisions that shape editorial coverage.
Then there's also the simple fact that there are thousands of out-of-work journalists with experience who are looking for jobs right now.

If you really want more diversity in newsrooms, maybe start by hiring more people of color.
