Today I’m in Simpsonville, South Carolina, where U.S. Sen. @CoryBooker is starting the first of a two-day campaign swing in this early-voting state. 
“We will either tear each other apart, or we will rise,” @CoryBooker told an audience of several hundred here in SC, after talking about how “Bloody Sunday” on the Edmund Pettus Bridge - where he will be Sunday - has influenced his life. “On that bridge, they did rise.”
“The hip hop generation is my generation,” @CoryBooker says, in response to a question about how he will get out the minority vote.
“I don’t want you walking around here like, ‘Don’t believe the hype.’ I want you to be like, ‘Fight the power!’”

That’s a wrap on @CoryBooker’s public events today in Simpsonville. Tomorrow, he’ll be on the opposite side of South Carolina for a town hall-style event in Charleston, followed by an oyster roast in Summerville.
