Bernie ‘s free college program explained.

Bernie had 5 proposals

Break up the banks
A Comprehensive universal healthcare proposal
Free college
Jobs program
15 minimum

Let’s talk policy
Bernie policies/lack of thorough framework was one of the most off putting thing about Sanders.

The only thing he actually spent time putting together where he had a how- to was healthcare. But once his plan debuted before Iowa and it failed to garner support he dropped it
You can tell by how extensive and detailed that this was his actual passion. Everything else he found someone else’s framework and half assed a plan together with neither the correct budget, authority or plan for it to work.

But most ppl following Sanders didn’t notice
So what was wrong w/ Bernie’s college plan. Literally everything.

For starters if I tell you I am going to finance your trip to France but show up with a bus ticket , a coupon, and loose change amounting to 32$- then that would mean the reality fell short of the promise
I am a huge education advocate. I believe in birth through 16 education.

And I am not doing it or promoting //some belief in socialism.

I promote America’s need for self preservation. It’s in our best interest to increase the level of education of our workforce.
Berners lquote FDR for some of all the wrong reasons. But he was the first president to make a high school diploma compulsory in the United States. Why?

He looked at where industry was going and saw- the future of capitalism couldn’t survive w/o raising the education levels
we are in a worst crossroads in American history than FDR’s time on the need to raise EVERY american education level.

I did policy for the essential workforce committee. That’s where we review jobs, the pipelines and qualification of our citizens.
We are short engineers, healthcare workers in larger quantities (please note this one), teachers and tech workers. ETC

If we ever had a crisis in anyone of these area America is short, like Tyrion on his knees short.,

Don’t let a crisis like Ebola hit the US
So I genuinely looked at Bernie’s free college plan as maybe a conversation starter.

It was fantastically disappointing to even someone like myself who wants to see more early childhood and post high school programs.

He didn’t care it was a gimmick.
