This is the most ignorant argument but let’s break this down.
Bernie supporters like pointing to voting complications in the states during the primaries to show well that must be how Bernie lost.

In the places that had the most voting complications NY is the only place run by Democrats so this is the one they often use
They will go so frickin far as to say Democrat can’t argue against voter suppression in any incident because they did this to Bernie.

So let’s examine the stupidity of their general argument.
Voter registration purges happen all the time. But it’s when it happens and how much notice do we give the voter if they aren’t active that their information is to be purged.

NY had a very restrictive primary but those rules not created for 2016 contest they were known.
I personally believe no voting registration rolls should be purged in the same year as a major election.

You should handle any clean up well in advance of an election. And give the voter adequate time to respond.

But the rolls do need pruning every once and a while.
NYC was never Bernie territory. And the only data indicating whose preference those voters were leaning toward - was the polling and the demographics.

Every NY polls said NYC was a lock for HRC. And the every that received the highest amount of registration purge were blk/Brown
And I can’t say this enough, areas that were leaning Hillary like Brooklyn where she was up by 9 points is where most of the voting purge happened.

Again why would the Sec of State be doing her any favors purging voters the polls said were likely to vote for her?
Let me recap, Clinton won and always was projected to win every area of NYC and every city. And because of that she won the state by nearly a million votes.

Bernie performed well in low population rural areas. They had NO voting irregularities.

So whose voters were impacted?
Again Hillary Clinton won NYC by nearly 64% and areas that had higher levels of black and brown voters she won a large vote share. She won those areas by as much as 88%

Ironically, where Bernie held his rally in the Bronx he had his worst defeat
This was the crap that bothered me about Bernie and Berners.

The first time he started pointing at state voting irregularities was the reason he lost was Arizona.

He pointed to long lines in a predominantly Latino district and said some of those were his votes.
He never lifted a finger to help make voting better

It was the Clinton campaign that sued the Arizona Secretary of State. HRC won every county but 1 in Arizona and especially if they were Latino or Tribal. google.com/amp/s/amp.theg…
This is the last point and a very critical one. Sanders knows how to sue

If he thinks he is wronged in even the slightest way- he sues, or request recanvas or recounts.

He never sued, or exercise any remedy. There wasn’t any evidence to support these were his voters wronged.
Sanders might have said these were his voters to save face in a humiliating defeat in Arizona, NY air California.

But they simply were not. nymag.com/intelligencer/…
So in order words she wasn’t calling for a purge of her own voters.

The premise that these were somehow Bernie voters that the local Sec of State had some form of precognition of who they were voting for and blam they were struck from the rolls is - omnipotency we don’t have
