The GOP is always accusing us of things it's blatantly guilty of. Today it's anti-Semitism. Tomorrow it'll be racism or class warfare. I used to think of this as just "I'm rubber, you're glue" playground stuff. I was wrong. /1
When I listened to Kavanaugh's angry, tearful testimony, I heard what a lot of people heard - an abuser. That night I sat down and made this thread. /2
That was my introduction to the phrase DARVO - deny, attack, reverse the victim and offender.
Later it hit me, that's exactly what it is when Republicans accuse us of what they're doing. They're not a kid on a playground. They're an abuser saying "SHE'S the one who hurt ME". /3

This kind of lie isn't limited to Trump. It pervades the modern GOP. He's a symptom, not the disease.
