Am I the only one who thinks it's time for a class-action suit against Trump for slander, saying from the office of the President that because I'm registered as a Democrat I hate Jewish people?

He's not saying that the party platform is anti-semitic.

Not saying that antisemitism is a nefarious subconscious part of the liberal ideology.

He's saying that Democratic PEOPLE hate the Jewish PEOPLE.

When I was five years old, I said I hated somebody. I don't even remember who it even was now, but I remember what someone told me it actually means to hate:

To truly HATE someone means that you would be happier if that person was dead.

HATE means you're so disgusted by something's continued existence that you would be pleased for it to be terminated for all eternity.

There are few things I hate: celery, permissiveness towards serial predators.

I do NOT hate the Jewish people.

TBH, I don't dislike the Jewish people any more than any other random assortment of humans. Everybody, of every ethnic group, has equal opportunity to be judged on their individual merits to be an asshole in my book.

So, this is not a case of simple Trumpian hyperbole - this literally ascribes *hatred* of an entire ethnicity not just to the party, but to all members of the party.

This is dangerous, slanderous, and obviously false, and endangers the safety and livelihood of party members.

If a reasonable - but inattentive to the political climate - person finds that someone applying for a job is a Democrat, or their student's teacher is a Democrat, etc., their reputation and livelihood could be harmed.

And, though voter records are not supposed to leave the borders of the US, since this info has been exfiltrated by Russian agents from the GOP's voter file, it's possible that American citizens could be targeted abroad.

There comes a point when PASSIVITY towards hyperbole, overgeneralization, and blatant lying HAS TO STOP.

I, for one, am not cool being told that some neo-nazis are 'good people' but all Democrats hate Jews.

Can somebody with legal chops please do SOMETHING?
