I'm a big fan of @BetoORourke 's approach to pairing climate change and immigration issues.

There is no question that the cycle of environmental disaster and migration has been weaponized by the far right and those who profit from suffering.
It's time to address the actual threat of migration that will accompany continually intensifying climate chaos...
but instead of spuriously focusing on willful criminals, highlight the sheer desperation and suffering that will accompany those displaced from entire swaths of earth made uninhabitable by climate change.
And it's time to explain that it won't just be those from equatorial regions who will be forced to seek new homes - it's American farmers and ranchers whose lands will no longer support the crops they rely on to produce.
