Here's how the west end of Beekman Ave's #sidewalk looked in 7/6/18. It was like this for an extended time. There was no #ADA ramps, no safe bypass around the #WorkZone. 5/x

Beekman Ave Bridge over the train tracks during this construction phase has the #SleepyHollowNY #sidewalk @ ~2.5' wide, directly next to moving vehicles w/o any buffer. Vehicle lanes are narrow, pushing people to drive very close to that sidewalk. Poorly lit at night. Very 😱 6/x

More Beekman Ave street light replacement construction blocked the sidewalk on 3/27/19.

Few days later, crew blocked sidewalk, forcing kids walking to @ufsdtarrytowns HS/MS into traffic. Asked them to fix. "We have a job to do." So we had police step in (TY!). #SleepyHollowNY
