Hey @gabeschoenfeld in your sad response to the blowback on your garbage hit piece on VDH, you overlook the widespread and legit criticism of your ignorance on the dossier’s handling. Care to correct it?

There are a key contradictions between Kramer’s deposition and McCain’s book. Contrary to what McCain wrote, Kramer didn’t offer to go to London to meet Steele - McCain asked him to go and report back to him. Also, Steele did not give Kramer the dossier 1/ amgreatness.com/2019/03/18/how…
He instead arranged for Kramer to meet Glenn Simpson the next day. Contrary to media reports and a suggestion in McCain’s book that Steele provided the dossier to Kramer, it was Simpson, a DNC-Clinton political operative. And that’s what McCain gave Comey.

Kramer, who Christopher Steele called McCain’s “intermediary” in his court deposition, worked closely with Simpson in Dec 2016 to plant stories in the media about the dossier. The most explosive news was that McCain gave it to Comey on December 9. Of course, he already had it.

Not only did @gabeschoenfeld viciously accuse VDH of being in service to “evil” - meaning President Trump -he got basic facts wrong about the dossier and FISAgate. He refuses to answer his critics because that’s what bullying cowards do: amgreatness.com/2019/03/13/whe…
Schoenfeld has written other gems recently, such as insisting Don Jr is a traitor for meeting with Russian lobbyists working with Glenn Simpson and how Trump was “losing his mind in 2017” and would be removed from office.

Even more appallingly, five days after this vile article was posted, VDH’s colleague at NR, the self-righteous David French, was a guest on the editor’s podcast. French, who never misses a chance to call out the bad behavior of others, said nothing to Sykes about the hit piece.

As Rep. Nunes began uncovering the roots of so-called FISAgate two years ago this month, his foes on the Left and Right started drumming up bogus ethics charges against him.

Over at NRO @DavidAFrench demanded that Nunes step down as chairman.

But he has no such demand of Schiff, who’s engaged in far more serious violations. In fact, French hadn’t tweeted one criticism of Schiff, after writing several hit pieces on Nunes:

That’s because the NeverTrumpers want to keep alive whatever remaining crumbs of the Trump-Russia collusion hoax they can, and keep in power one of Trump’s most shameless foes. Very principled.

Hey my "no twitter fights" curfew is over, let's start another fight about Formal Methods D:

A while back I started a big twitter fight about proving code in FP and IP correct. Several people after contacted me to say it got them interested in theorem proving.
"If I want to use formal methods, should I learn Coq, Isabelle, or Dafny?"

I made a serious mistake in the challenge: equating "formal methods" with code verification. A very interesting topic with a lot of work, but not what I find most useful or even most interesting in FM.
For the _average_ programmer, proving code correct is fun but not all-that-applicable. You can prove contained functions (as we did), but proving things with global state, aliases, and world effects? We (again, the AVERAGE programmer) can't get very far with Isabelle here.
