Important to note that this was a 2-1 decision — as in, there was a dissent — that came from a now-rare liberal-majority 6th Circuit panel.
This is how the dissent characterizes the judge’s actions that were so wild that Tennessee(!) quickly outlawed them: “Being offered contraceptive services, even being encouraged to accept free contraceptive services, is not an injury in fact for purposes of standing.”
That dissent is from Senior Judge Suhrheinrich, who was born in 1936, appointed to the district court by Reagan in 1984, and appointed to the 6th Circuit by George HW Bush in 1990.

Judges stay with us for a long time.

The NYT-WaPo 1-2 punches at Barr are a helluva thing.

The two main points—made more clear in the Post story—are that there are clean summaries of each area of inquiry prepared by the special counsel’s office and there is at least some dissatisfaction w Barr’s presentation of the obstruction findings. See:
To clarify: I should have said “nearly clean” or something similar. It’s clear from the reporting ~some~ review was envisioned for those, but not the time DOJ is taking. (Also: Not clear ”front matter” is the whole summary or an initial opening of the summary.) NYT, then WaPo:

In addition to the abuse and harassment so many face here, quick looks in show Twitter really is a dumpster of predictable, performative trashing of others. (No, that’s not just Twitter, of c.)

I don’t really miss all of that in my life while I’ve been (mostly) gone from here.
I’ve enjoyed being mostly gone from here for the past two weeks, tbh. This place has brought me such joy — I’ve met and talk with so many incredible people here — but it’s also become so incredibly full of toxicity.
I’m still thinking about how to better engage here when I start my new job later this month — and I’m open to ideas.

Though I haven't even played it yet, I am aware that there is a lot about SoTA that some backers hate.

Here's the thing about backing crowd-funded games:

They are not likely to meet your expectations. You know, just like any other game whose development you didn't follow.
With crowd-funding, I have always told people that if you get to see how the sausage is made, you probably won't like it. Aside from the horrific stress that comes from things breaking, not as expected etc.

And like gambling, don't commit money you cannot afford to lose.
