In addition to the abuse and harassment so many face here, quick looks in show Twitter really is a dumpster of predictable, performative trashing of others. (No, that’s not just Twitter, of c.)

I don’t really miss all of that in my life while I’ve been (mostly) gone from here.

I’ve enjoyed being mostly gone from here for the past two weeks, tbh. This place has brought me such joy — I’ve met and talk with so many incredible people here — but it’s also become so incredibly full of toxicity.

I’m still thinking about how to better engage here when I start my new job later this month — and I’m open to ideas.

To be clear, I’m not talking about anything I, personally, am facing. No one has been talking to or about me — because I’ve pretty much been off-the-map here. But I’ve been checking in every once in a while, and it’s so often just packed full of these huge trash heaps.

Anyway ... Night, all, and let us try to be good to one another — and ourselves.
