One of Conquest’s Laws of politics - “Any organization not explicitly right wing sooner or later becomes left wing” - has a happy corollary.

Any narrative not explicitly left wing is ipso facto right wing, because any statement that’s not false, nor nonsense, is true.
Which is to say, topsy turvy worldviews can only be sustained and propagated at scale by constant effortful propaganda. Objectivity is “right wing”.

“The only thing needed for right wing radicalization today is an accurate reporting of the news.”
Whence the mismatch between the leftward drift of institutions and the rightward drift of empirical worldview building?

Incentives. Leftism is essentially a strategy of social competition, alliance building and predation using distortion.

But knowing reality is ‘survivaluable’.
Leftism is useful for playing monkey politics.

Being right is useful for effectively interfacing with objective reality.

A tool for social reality vs. a tool for real reality.

Why leftism is so prevalent in unrealities of privileged walled gardens, e.g. academia.
The postmodernist attack on the notion of objective reality, and its implied subsumption under social forces, is to be understood exactly in this light.

It’s social reality trying to impose itself over real reality, in a competitive struggle. That inverts the relationship, obvs.
Which is why they hate on evolutionary psychology, which does the opposite, objectively correct, thing - explains the emergence of social and psychological phenomena from physical reality.

The war is over which is the ground, and which is the incidental product.
