I’m still watching videos from the 80s & 90s, but now this has piqued my interest. It’s fascinating how often Bernie uses the same arguments against his opponents.
I’ve talked about this before, because it’s so interesting to me. His speeches and debates are all the same, he just changes the names and sometimes percentages he uses in his examples.
Anyway, here’s the link to the full debate with Tarrant: c-span.org/video/?195068-…
Well, he’s not wrong.
This happens about five and a half minutes in.
How did Bernie get elected after this?
Tarrant was on fire 🔥
I have yet to find a debate where Bernie isn’t questioned about his taxes. I’ve seen articles all the way back to 1981 about Bernie either hiding his taxes or his donor lists.
Here’s an article from 1981, for example.
Say it again for the people in the back.
“You need to think it through,” should be everyone’s answer to basically everything Bernie ever says. Because he doesn’t.
Remember when Bernie said he agreed with Trump on trade?
“Of course I work with Republicans. […] How do I make progress in raising consciousness on the trade issue other than working with Republicans?”
Let’s check the record!
He’s so predictable.
