A million people. You can ignore that if you like. You can pretend it didn't happen, or doesn't mean anything, or has no consequence. But when there's that many people hitting the streets, something fundamental is happening.
You don't always know the impact immediately. It can take a while to filter through. It certainly doesn't mean we'll win the fight to Remain. But it shows that a massive constituency in this country are not putting up with this shit anymore.
Brexit or no Brexit, they will remember what is happening right now. And they will punish anyone who helps deliver a disastrous outcome.
Something really fundamental is happening to politics in this country. Yesterday was a show of force by liberal internationalists. A sensible politician would act to meet that demand, instead of pretending it did not happen.

Bercow asked what House can do about fact PM seems to be ruling out honouring indicative votes before they even take place. Bercow says proceed "with this process... and if there are such votes subsequently... wholehearted participation in them by colleagues is to be recommended"
Quite a telling moment there, especially the hint that the stronger participation, the stronger the case that they should be respected.

There are no arguments left, if there ever were. The government can't be trusted to live up to its promises. May is in a death spiral. Parliament must take control.
The fact this is even tight is a joke. MPs should be clamouring to take control. Who goes into politics to reduce their say at critical moments in history?

Labour tabled an amendment for indicative votes next week. This section is interesting. Has anyone from the party actually been able to explain what the difference is between its alternate plan and 'Common Market 2.0'?
And no, I'm not happy about Common Market 2.0 either.
It's a fucking silly name. You can pretty much dismiss anything titled with that .0 thingy.

The Swiss voting system fiasco reminds us: that assumption is wrong. 1/
There's a widespread bias in this direction. I heard a colleague recently say, about a product I discovered was so architecturally flawed it cannot be remediated, "but so many big companies have bought this, it can't be that bad?" But it can. 2/
We know that big organizations, even major governments, screw up on computer security so often that they wind up in the newspapers week after week. The assumption that big organizations can't possibly be incompetent at security is constantly disproven by the real world. 3/

Ignore the polls and get out there and #Vote on November 6th. Relying on polling is a relic of a time gone by.
I’m not saying looking at @FiveThirtyEight’s model and charts and stuff isn’t cool, because it is and provides some insight. But no matter what the numbers say, it’s most certainly NEVER an excuse to not #Vote because you feel your peeps are a “lock”
Need nothing further than to point to 2016. Which by the way, @FiveThirtyEight didn’t really have wrong, but the “selected not elected” mindset existed before 2016. Why else would over 100 million people choose NOT to participate in their civic duty to choose their leaders.

Listen! When we talked about a revolution in May, many figured it can't happen, the system is too elite, too connected, too powerful, too entrenched but then there's something that's rarely seen; revolutions are complex and messy.
Everyday the use of the term revolution, and revolutionary language continues to grow. Walk around town and berets-the symbol of revolutions and defiance-are everywhere. Slowly a generation that doesn't entertain mediocrity is taking shape.
The best part is that unlike Gen X, Gen Y is schooled. The number of at least high-school educated 16-64yr olds is about 47%, that figure hits 66% when narrowed to 18-35yr olds. You have a generation that understands issues and that's super hopeful.

I started working for Microsoft Consulting Services on Feb 14, 1994(Valentines Day) in Minneapolis. I went onsite with a customer that same day, getting introduced around. I also setup my first "laptop"-a Compaq Portable 386. "Weighs less than 20 pounds!"

This was also when the excitement for Windows 95 was just starting. Here's one of first free t-shirts I ever received. For a day or 2 I worked the booth at the Minnesota State Fair, demonstrating Win95 to fair goers.
