Starting from the premise this is a vindication or an ending accepts an inevitable and false GOP framing. Don't. Push back.
And that he's been revealed as a disgrace.
Push back against any other framing.
He's taking a victory lap in his golf cart.
Some child in the crowd ought to point out the emperor has broken his legs kicking the judges.
And yes. In a way.
The value of this result is that people who actively seek for excuses to say the president didn't do anything wrong have a shiny new excuse now.
They'd have found another. They always do.
This seems relevant.
Seems relevant.
Trump complained about Sessions' resulting recusal from the Russia investigation, saying he wouldn't have ever appointed Sessions if he had known Sessions would recuse.
Then Trump fired Sessions.
Lies about the lies about the lies about the lies.
And the stuff that really happened.
Maybe the guy Trump appointed to take no action on the report will take no action on the report—and of COURSE they're going to call that a win.
But he's a disgrace.
We should make sure we remember it right, and tell it true.
If he conspired, I think it was as simple as him being approached by somebody saying "wanna do crimes?" and he did, because he's naturally predisposed to doing crimes.
He's been a crook his whole life w/o consequence, so why not?
Just focus on the objectively unacceptable shit he did in broad daylight, whether because of the investigation or otherwise.
Ignore bullshit narratives that conveniently forget the stuff we all saw.
He's a disgrace. So are they all.
