There's a lot to untruck here in Schiff's comments. He continues to mislead on the actions and events regarding the Mueller probe's findings. He goes through a litany here, and most if not all of it hinges on prevarication, or at least biased interpretation.
He says the GOP "might think it's okay" that the Russians offered dirt on the Democrat candidate for the election.
Note Schiff is unbothered that Hillary DID use dirt on Trump, from the Russians, for the election. She bought and paid for the Steele Dossier. That is proven.
Schiff complains that when Trump's son-in-law was offered intel he did not report the offer to the FBI.
Hillary was not "offered" the dirt on Trump - she BOUGHT it. Paid for it. And the DNC then submitted it to the FBI to specifically target Trump.
Schiff says they lied about the meeeting being about adoptions. He is wrong. The meeting was called by the others under false pretenses, and when they brought up the Russian adoptionss that was when the Trump team ended things and left the meeeting.
Schiff says "you might think that's okay" the campaign manager offered campaign details to a Russian oligarch. Those were business details to a Ukrainian business partner of Manafort's, and no, it was not okay - evidenced by the fact he was quickly dismissed from the campaign.
Schiff carps about Trump saying in a speech the Russianss shouldd hack the Democrats. He intentionally misrepresents a joke Trump told at a stump speech, a joke based on the fact the Russians ALREADY had hacked the DNC and Podesta. He directed nobody in that speech.
Schiff mentions the campaign reaching out to GRU and Guccifer for dirt they supposedly had via hacking. This was actually Roger Stone who was not part of the campaign, and his contacts have not been proven.
Schiff notes the episode of Mike Flynn meeting a Russian Ambassador. Nat. Sec. Advisors meeting foreign dignitaries is not brokering illegal deals, and Flynn met the ambassador in Dec. 2017 - AFTER the election. How can that possibly be collusion after-the-fact? It cannot.
Schiff closes out to say he feels this all was immoral, corrupt, and evidence of collusion.
His misrepresenting the facts and using those prevarications to accuse collusion is NOT immoral and corrupt, we have to believe.
Sayeth Schiff: "Now I have always said that the question of whether this amounts to the proof of conspiracy are another matter." And "I would accept his decision, and I do."
This is garbage because "always said" disippated earlier when he decalered collusion took place.
Schiff then closed out his brave posturing by refusing to then yield the microphone, and he had the mic of another GOP member cut off to prevent further comments.
Little mystery why he is being requessted to step down from his chair.
