After three wonderful years at @POLITICOEurope, working with some of the best people I've ever worked with, I'm thrilled and excited to announce I'm joining @TheAtlantic this summer. It's been such a ride since 2016 — now for the next challenge!

1) The Irish backstop has become so toxic for the DUP it risks permanently undermining power-sharing. The divisions in NI have deepened and the peace process damaged, just as the EU predicted in **February 2017** but pressed on anyway, without any acceptable alternative from UK.

Brexit clouds lifting a little here in Egypt. If things happen (a big if), it's becoming clear *how* they'll happen. Provisional codicil is worked up alongside changes to future relationship. EU Council will agree — BUT ONLY on March 21/22 and ONLY if MPs have agreed it before 1/
I sketch the shape of this route out of the crisis here politico.eu/article/eu-bre…, but it's worth emphasising this is still a LONG SHOT. Requires MPs to back a conditional deal. Then almost guarantees an extension to get the deal through parliament 2/

2. Cox agrees deal
3. Withdrawal Agreement amended by Cox passes Commons March 12
4. May asks for "technical extension" March 13
5. EU agrees Cox-amended WA March 21/22
6. UK ratifies new WA

`cargo-call-stack` is a static, whole program stack analysis tool, and in this second release it went from "It works ... sometimes" to "this is awesome!"

The hash suffixes (e.g. ::h1337dead10cc4242) are not shown on symbols that are unambiguous. Plus only a single edge is drawn between two nodes regardless of the number times one calls the other.

Three days after the Pulwama attack, three distinct threads stand out: One, there is restraint among sensible people and even among political leaders; there is anger among common citizens and a hope that there will be punitive action and three, there is cynicism among analysts
For every thread, there are exceptions of course! Some idiot politician has made over the top or inflammatory statement; some outraged hotheads have tried to take law in their own hands and there are some very balanced analysts and commentators who have allowed elbow room to govt
By and large, the country has reacted sensibly. There is controlled anger; there is a sense of solidarity and there is quiet confidence. This hopefully will remain so in the weeks to come.

I read your article titled Shaping the narrative of Nigeria’s 2019 elections with big data, a 14 paragraph article that's mainly focused on #NigeriaDecides2019
In my view, some issues raised are simply #IllogicalLogics

@thecableng @DSamsonItodo @ReadyToRunNG @GRVlagos @channelstv @EUinNigeria The main take away of the article for me is that it shows that Nigerians are more active in the decisions that affect their lives more than ever before.
However, I saw some #IllogicalLogics in your opinion and I just want Omo Ibadan to help me define the #IllogicalLogics🤣🤣🤣🤣

What we know:

Flynn was cooperating with at least two investigations—at least one of which was a criminal investigaton—outside the Special Counsel’s office.
1/ This means the Mueller probe is fairly safe. Why?

Because the evidence is spread around to various offices. The redacted portions of the addendum can be made public at any time, hence informing the public about key details.

Also it's clear to me Mueller has the whole story.
2/ What other criminal investigation did Flynn assist with? We can only guess.

We also know that Flynn started cooperating early, and he provided substantial assistance to Mueller, and his timely cooperation persuaded “related first hand witnesses” to co-operate.

@simonbucknall So, my starting point would be that generalising by groups can be very unhelpful (I’ll try and explain why in the thread) and I think all the best people I’ve ever worked with were definitely the ones most able to communicate in different ways for different purposes/groups
@simonbucknall Women are often seen or described as being more diffident, lacking confidence etc, men more assertive but I am aware of recent studies (I’ll try and dig them up) which says lots of this is myth and I’d about how people are listened to rather than how they speak
@simonbucknall For example, there is a well observed proven phenomenon which I have definitely seen first hand that when men repeat something women have said they are taken more seriously. Are women “speaking wrong” or is it that unconscious expectations make us listen differently?
