Can’t see how Government can “attach” a confidence vote to a Meaningful Vote - fixed term Parliament Act is very prescriptive about the wording of any motion - must be “That this House has no confidence in Her Majesty’s Government.”...
Versions of this could be:
Govt promises time for a confidence motion - would need to do so if Oppo tabled one anyway.

That the Government tables a conf motion in itself - weird.

PM promises to resign if it gets voted down - not sure that will help get the votes, or be believed
FTPA - passed for one PArliament without thinking of risks of sustaining long zombified future Govt..canny Lords asked for sunrise clause. Compromise was a long forgotten review next year.

If Govt still here surely has to advocate its repeal.. having put that in 2017 manifesto,
