No further third reading amendments in the Lords - the Cooper Letwin Bill amended at Committee stage - will complete Lords stages in next 15 minutes and then head over to the Commons for consideration of those Lords amendments alone.

NEW: Cooper Letwin Bill has now passed through the House of Lords - amended twice by Lord Pannick and Lord Goldsmith... now to the Commons for consideration of the amendments:

Amended Cooper Letwin Bill (v short as you can see) completes passage in Lords and is then carried through the Lobby over to the House of Commons - where Government according to Tory MPs is about to accept the amendments

Proper battle in the COmmons between Brexiter MPs furious at the constitutional outrage, as they see it of the Cooper-Letwin Bill, trying to amend it to rule out the EU elections just announced by Government, and referendum backers

First mainly ERG attempt to resist the Lords amendments to Cooper Letwin Bill heavily defeated by 396-83.

Division now forced on Cash-Baker amendment seeking to rule out EU elections that were just announced in law by Government this morning...

The Cooper-Letwin shadow Govt secure another thumping majority (!) defeating Bill Cash - ayes 85 noes 392 - on trying to limit an extension so as to prevent EU elections.... last vote now.

Final amendment passed - the Cooper Letwin Bill forcing the PM to ask for a longer extension has now passed both Houses - and has returned back to the Lords for Royal Assent - will become law in the hour, when both Houses are sitting...

Royal Assent just granted, witnessed by some Tory rebels - the Cooper Letwin Bill is now statute - an Act of Parliament - the law of the land to oblige PM to seek an extension for Article 50 process

Number 10 publishes text of amendable motion required under Cooper Letwin Act - asking for an extension of A50 till end June.
